Head of Technology Specialisms - Scotland
Location: Edinburgh, Scotland (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

This is a rare opportunity for hands-on ownership of a successful permanent recruitment team, combined with the build of a new private sector contracts division. With the backing of Britain’s #1 fin-tech recruitment brand, you’ll drive strategy, scale markets, develop teams, and spearhead Scotland’s growth.
About the Role
Meet the challenge of leading Scotland’s technology recruitment strategy today—while defining its vision for tomorrow. You’ll own the growth of our existing permanent recruitment team alongside an entirely new contracts division, and collaborate strategically with the Head of Scotland to create real impact.
Responsibilities
- Lead the growth of Harvey Nash’s Technology Specialisms business across Scotland, blending strategy with commercial delivery
- Build and scale a high-performing private sector contracts division from the ground up
- Drive new business and expand market share across Scotland’s tech sector
- Develop long-term partnerships with senior technology leaders (Software Engineering, AI, Cloud, Cyber Security, and more)
- Coach and mentor consultants to foster a specialist, high-performing team
- Collaborate with the Head of Scotland to shape sustainable growth
- Expand specialist recruitment capabilities in:
- Software Engineering
- Data & Analytics
- Cloud & Infrastructure
- Cyber Security
- Architecture
- Leadership & Strategy
- Projects & Change

Requirements
- Proven success as a leader in technology recruitment, with experience in either permanent, contract, or both sectors
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of winning new business and utilising consultative sales tactics
- Experience leading, developing, and inspiring recruitment teams to excelling performance
- Passion for building specialist markets and culture-driven growth
- Ability to operate confidently at a senior stakeholder level, balancing client relationships with candidate experience
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to scale impact and carve a distinct career with Harvey Nash Scotland
