About Us

We’re a fast-growing, £10 million-a-year business serving the body modification industry — supplying jewellery and tattoo products B2B, and running our own direct-to-consumer piercing studios. We’re not a corporate machine. We’re a tight, values-led team that cares about doing things properly, looking after our customers, and backing each other up.

We’re now scaling into Europe, and we need a Head of Tech to build and lead the technology that will take us there.

Our Culture

We hire for attitude first, skill second. Our team is built on:

  • Honesty and integrity — say what you mean, do what you say
  • Humility — no egos, no “that’s not my job”
  • Team focused — we win and fix problems together
  • Customer first — every decision starts with “what’s best for the customer?”
  • Above and beyond — we don’t clock-watch or do the bare minimum
  • Attention to detail — the small things matter, especially in this industry
  • Hard work — we’re building something, and that takes graft

If those don’t sound like you, this role won’t be a fit — and that’s fine. If they do, keep reading.

The Role

As Head of Tech, you’ll own the technology strategy and delivery across our B2B platform, D2C e-commerce, in-studio systems, and internal operations. You’ll be the technical leader for a business that’s already trading at scale and is about to get bigger as we expand across Europe.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This is a hands-on leadership role — you’ll set direction, but you won’t be too far removed from the detail to get stuck in when it matters.

What You’ll Do

  • Own our technology roadmap across B2B and D2C platforms, integrations, and internal tools
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a small but capable tech team
  • Ensure our systems (e-commerce, stock/inventory, studio booking, EPOS, reporting) are reliable, scalable, and fit for multi-country operations
  • Lead the technical groundwork for European expansion — currency, tax, localisation, logistics integrations, compliance
  • Work closely with the leadership team to translate commercial priorities into technical delivery
  • Own vendor and platform decisions, balancing cost, reliability, and speed
  • Build systems and processes that support rapid, sustainable growth without breaking under pressure
  • Champion data security, uptime, and operational resilience across every customer-facing and internal system

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience leading technology for a multi-channel or e-commerce business (B2B and/or D2C)
  • Experience scaling systems through periods of significant growth
  • A track record of shipping — not just planning
  • Comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on levels
  • Experience with international/European expansion is a strong plus
  • Genuine attention to detail — we notice the difference between “good enough” and “right”
  • Strong communication skills; you can explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders
  • A humble, team-first attitude — you’re here to build something with us, not for the title

What We Offer

  • The chance to shape the tech function of a business at a genuine inflection point
  • Direct access to and influence with the leadership team
  • A culture where hard work and honesty are noticed and valued
  • Real ownership — not just a seat at the table, but a hand in building it.
