Head of AI Transformation

About The Role

We're representing a regional financial services group that has finished experimenting with AI and started reorganising around it. The pilots worked; now the operating model has to change — and they've learned that this is a leadership problem, not a technology one. This is for the person who can stand between the C-suite, the technologists, and a workforce quietly wondering what happens to their jobs — and be trusted by all three.

What You'd Own

  • Own the group AI transformation roadmap — which functions change, in what order, and why
  • Translate board ambition into funded, sequenced programmes with honest business cases
  • Lead role redesign as AI absorbs task work — what people stop doing, start doing, and get trained on
  • Partner the CHRO on workforce transition: reskilling pathways, redeployment, and the hard calls
  • Stand up AI governance that satisfies MAS expectations without strangling adoption
  • Run the change: managers who use the tools, teams who trust the process, adoption you can measure
  • Report progress to the exec and board in business outcomes, not model metrics

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What You'll Bring

  • 10+ years across transformation, operations, or technology leadership — with at least one AI or major digital transformation delivered end-to-end
  • Fluency with the current AI stack (LLMs, agents, automation platforms) at the decision-maker level — you don't build it, but you can't be bluffed about it
  • Real change-management scars: adoption you drove, resistance you turned, workforce transitions you handled with care
  • Experience in regulated industries — financial services strongly preferred
  • The standing to challenge senior leaders and the warmth to bring anxious teams along

You'll Thrive Here If

  • You believe AI transformation is 20% technology and 80% people — and you've got the results to prove it
  • You want a mandate with real budget and board air-cover, not an innovation-theatre title
  • You can hold two truths at once: the technology is genuinely disruptive, and the people are genuinely worth protecting

Compensation: Hybrid working, London, Direct line to the Group COO.
