One the UK’s leading building societies, based in the South of England, has mandated us exclusively to find them someone to lead and manager their treasury department.
Reporting to the CFO this is an excellent opportunity to have responsibility for the day to day management of the Society’s liquidity, wholesale funding and interest rate positions, optimising commercial performance and returns whilst ensuring the Society operates at all times in accordance with regulatory requirements. Role Description
- Provide strategic analysis and commercial support to the CFO through management of the Society forecasting model and related stress testing activities
- Manage the Society’s liquidity and funding needs
- Manage the Society’s interest rate and basis risk position
- Meet the Society’s internal and external reporting obligations
- Manage and understand the risks and controls within the business, in accordance with the Risk Management framework, adhering to relevant policies and procedures
- Lead, coach, develop and empower your team

Role Requirements
- Experience of working in a Banking or Building Society treasury team
- Knowledge and / or understanding of UK FS regulatory framework
- Understanding of the Building Society liquidity and funding model
- Experience of managing and developing others
- Advanced Excel skills including modelling
- Studying towards Association of Corporate Treasurers qualification, ALMIS or similar
