Head of Wealth Management & Financial Planning
Founding Leadership Opportunity
Location: London, United Kingdom (Hybrid)
Organisation: Family Wealth Legacies
Reports to: Founder & Chairman
About Family Wealth Legacies
Family Wealth Legacies is a newly established international Multi-Family Office dedicated to serving entrepreneurial families, founders and high-net-worth individuals. Our mission is simple:
To help entrepreneurial families create, protect, grow and successfully transfer wealth across generations.
Unlike traditional wealth management firms, we combine Family Office Advisory, Financial Planning, Estate Planning, Family Governance, Trustee Services and International Private Banking into one integrated client experience. Our primary clients are entrepreneurial families with between £5 million and £50 million of family wealth, many of whom own businesses, operate internationally and require coordinated advice rather than isolated financial products.
We are currently building our UK platform while simultaneously developing an international presence across Africa through our strategic family office and private banking initiatives.
The Opportunity
This is a genuine founding leadership role. We are seeking an exceptional wealth management professional who wants to help build—not simply inherit—a modern wealth management business.
Working directly with the Founder, you will be responsible for designing and leading our regulated wealth management proposition while helping establish Family Wealth Legacies as one of the UK's leading entrepreneurial family offices. You will play a key role in:
- Developing our regulated financial planning business
- Establishing relationships with an appropriate regulatory network and platform
- Recruiting future advisers
- Defining client standards
- Helping shape the firm's long-term strategy
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys building businesses and wants to become part of a long-term entrepreneurial journey.
About the Role
As Head of Wealth Management & Financial Planning you will:
- Lead the establishment of our regulated wealth management proposition
- Help develop our relationship with an appropriate FCA-authorised network or regulatory structure
- Design and oversee holistic financial planning services
- Develop investment and retirement planning propositions
- Participate in Family Wealth Assessments and Family Wealth Blueprints
- Work closely with our Family Office, Estate Planning and Trustee teams to deliver coordinated advice
- Recruit, mentor and lead future financial advisers
- Build relationships with accountants, solicitors, tax advisers and other professional introducers
- Help establish the investment philosophy and client service standards of the business
- Contribute to strategic planning as part of the firm's senior leadership team

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
