Head of Web & Digital Product
Salary: £60,000–£75,000
Location: Hybrid – Wolverhampton (2 days onsite)
Contract: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (with strong potential to become permanent)
A major higher education institution is investing heavily in its digital future and is looking for an experienced digital product leader to drive one of its most significant transformation programmes.
This is a unique opportunity to lead the end-to-end transformation of a large-scale web platform, introducing product-led ways of working while shaping the future of the organisation's digital estate.
The Role
You'll take ownership of a high-profile web transformation programme, leading:
- Enterprise CMS migration and website redesign.
- Product strategy, roadmap and backlog ownership.
- Optimisation of key user journeys using data, analytics and user research.
- Cross-functional delivery across Marketing, Digital and Technology teams.
- Senior stakeholder engagement and executive reporting.
- Agency, supplier and budget management.
- The development of a long-term product operating model beyond the initial programme.

This is a highly visible leadership role combining strategic thinking with hands-on programme delivery.
About You
We're looking for someone who has successfully delivered complex web transformation programmes and understands how to balance user needs, commercial priorities and technical delivery.
You'll bring:
- Experience leading enterprise website or digital platform transformations.
- Strong Product Owner and product management experience.
- Expertise delivering programmes across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams through organisational change.
- Strong supplier and agency management skills.
- A data-driven approach to improving customer journeys and digital performance.
- The confidence to influence senior stakeholders and make strategic decisions.

Higher education experience is beneficial but not essential. Applications are welcomed from candidates who have delivered large-scale digital transformation in sectors such as healthcare, charities, retail, financial services or other complex, stakeholder-rich environments.
