Head Office Accountant
Reporting To: Financial Controller
The Opportunity
This is an excellent first move from practice into industry for a newly qualified ACA/ACCA accountant.
- Working alongside a practice-trained Financial Controller and CFO, you'll gain exposure across financial reporting, management accounts, commercial finance and business partnering.
- The business has doubled in size over the last three years, recently completed an exciting acquisition and has ambitious growth plans, making it a fantastic time to join.
- You'll work closely with the Senior Leadership Team in a private equity-backed environment, develop your commercial awareness and benefit from a clear progression path into a Finance Manager role.

Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & Month End
- Assist with monthly management accounts and month-end close.
- Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support year-end reporting and ensure compliance with FRS 102.
- Commercial Finance
- Produce financial analysis, variance reporting and KPIs.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
- Support financial modelling and process improvements.
- Audit & Business Partnering
- Support the year-end audit and prepare audit schedules.
- Build relationships across the business to provide financial insight and support decision-making.

About You:
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or finalist).
- Experience gained within an accountancy practice.
- Strong financial reporting and technical accounting knowledge.
- Excellent Excel and analytical skills.
- Confident communicator with a proactive, commercial mindset.
