Role: Head Receptionist
Location: Easipetcare, Derby
Contract: Full-Time, Maternity Cover (12 months)
Easipetcare is a small animal practice located in Derby. We are ISFM accredited. The practice has excellent transport links, including the M1 and a direct train to London and we also have the lovely Peak District National Park nearby.
We have a supportive and friendly team of 1 Vet, 3 RVNs, 1 SVN and 1 VCA, and 3 receptionists. Our team is passionate about providing the best standard of care to both pet and client. We have yearly team building days. We're also linked to Cats Protection, StreetVet, and donate unused pet food.
Derby is a large and established practice with 4 consult rooms, separate cattery, kennel and isolation wards, a dedicated x-ray and ultrasound room, large theatre and prep room, and an in-house laboratory.

How You’ll Make a Difference
As Head Receptionist, you will lead the client care team within the practice, ensuring consistently high standards of service and a positive experience for clients and patients.
You’ll provide day-to-day leadership and support to reception colleagues, help manage workflows and performance, and work closely with the wider practice leadership team to continuously improve the client journey and support practice initiatives.

You are an experienced client care professional who is ready to take on a leadership role. You’ll bring:
- Proven experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within a veterinary or healthcare setting
- Experience supporting, mentoring, or supervising colleagues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to manage priorities and remain calm in a busy environment
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to improving client experience
