Head Receptionist
Head Receptionist (Veterinary) – Welwyn Garden City
Location: Welwyn Garden City Contract: Permanent Hours: 40 hours per week + one in four Saturday mornings

About the Role
As Head Receptionist at Attimore Veterinary Centre, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our clients receive exceptional care and service while supporting our team with all front-of-house responsibilities.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Managing the receptionist team, including training, support, and guidance
- Creating and overseeing the team rota
- Supporting recruitment and liaising with the internal recruitment team
- Handling account control and debt management
- Processing insurance claims efficiently
- Assisting with the management of our Healthy Pet Club

Additional Key Tasks
- Answering phone enquiries and booking appointments
- Responding to emails, phone calls, and in-person queries
- Registering new clients
- Completing insurance forms
- Dispensing medications safely and accurately
- Processing payments
- Providing a warm, welcoming experience for all clients
Requirements
We’re looking for a resilient and empathetic professional with: ✔ Essential: Prior receptionist experience (veterinary experience is a plus) ✔ Ability to handle potentially distressing or emotional situations ✔ Strong communications skills and empathy ✔ Excellent customer service experience, especially with members of the public ✔ A positive attitude and strong teamwork skills ✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management systems
