Head Steward – Lead, Inspire, Deliver Excellence!

Location: Alamein Combined Mess, Munster Barracks DL9 3QG. Contract type: Permanent, full-time, 35 hours per week Shift times: Mon – Fri, 08:30 - 16:00 but covering sickness/holiday, functions and occasional weekends as required. Pay:  £13.03 per hour (£23,795.78)

What you'll do:

Lead and motivate your team to deliver outstanding service every day. Organise and oversee operations for senior messes, ensuring smooth delivery of services. Manage customer feedback professionally and share successes with your team. Train and develop staff, ensuring brand standards and procedures are met. Support special events and functions, making them memorable for our clients. Champion health, safety, and cleaning standards across all areas. Drive customer satisfaction and sales through excellent service and communication. Manage schedules and timesheets to keep everything running efficiently.

What we’re looking for:

Experience in catering or hospitality. Previous leadership experience managing a team. Basic knowledge of health and safety and food safety. Strong organisational and communication skills. DBS check required (UK residency for the past 3 years). Familiarity with MS Office is desirable.
