What You'll Be Doing
As Head Nurse, you'll play a vital role in:
- Leading and supporting a nursing team of 6 RVNs, 1 Student Veterinary Nurses and 3 Patient Care Assistant
- Working closely with the veterinary team to deliver outstanding patient care
- Championing high clinical standards across the practice
- Supporting the growth, development and utilisation of nursing skills throughout the team
- Driving innovation and bringing fresh ideas to enhance patient care and practice efficiency
- Acting as a positive and approachable people leader
- Helping create an engaging and supportive learning environment for both qualified and student nurses
About You
We're looking for a dedicated Head Veterinary Nurse to join our YourVets Nuneaton team. No two days will be the same, you will:
- Be passionate about delivering exceptional care to both our patients and their owners every day.
- Support the outcome of patients care in all aspects of clinical work as part of the team.
- Ensure Quality is maintained by keeping our practice in excellent condition- ensuring quality of care and the best possible outcomes for every patient.
- Learn, develop and grow with us, taking advantage of ongoing training and development opportunities offered by CVS and our practice.
- Contribute to creating a positive environment, fostering a friendly, welcoming and supportive team culture.
- Communicate with confidence, use your exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—to build strong, lasting relationships with colleagues, clients, and the pets they love.

YourVets Nuneaton is a small animal practice with a passionate team of vets, nurses, PCAs and receptionists. Our facilities include separate dog and cat wards, spacious theatre with laparoscopic equipment, a dedicated X-ray room, and a dental suite with its own X-ray facilities, giving you the tools you need to deliver outstanding care. You'll be part of a wider group of five practices, comprising 35 FTE vets, including multiple certificate holders. This structure allows for excellent clinical collaboration and continuity of care.
We take your wellbeing seriously. Our team includes a dedicated Mental Health First Aider and a Wellbeing Champion, and we've created a designated wellbeing room within the practice for moments of rest and recharge.
