Head Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal

Salary up to £80,000 plus Relocation Allowance up to £5,000 and Welcome Bonus up to £3,000 We have an excellent opportunity for a Head Veterinary Surgeon looking to progress here at Alexander Vets. Day to day duties would see the successful candidate overseeing the general running of the practice with involvement in clinical work, operating and consulting. You will also work in tandem the Practice Manager and Practice Director. We are looking for someone who will work alongside our experienced vets and give guidance and support within all clinical aspects of practice life. Practice Highlights We are a well equipped, family friendly first opinion practice on the edge of the Lake District which has stunning scenery, amazing walks and is near to local beaches. Our practice has all the latest lab, X-ray, laser and Ultrasound equipment. Preventative health care and case continuity are important to us meaning you will build up a great relationship with both clients and their pets. We are a friendly, close and inclusive team that likes to promote a supportive culture. The practice consists of 2 vets, 3 RVN's a soon to be SVN and a dedicated reception team. Working Pattern

  • Full-time position with
  • 4 day week
  • 1:4 Saturday mornings only
  • There are no OOH requirements. You Might Be a Great Fit If... You are a confident and motivated veterinary surgeon who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to delivering high-quality patient and client care. You’ll bring:
  • A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
  • Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
  • A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development
