At Stonewater, we are committed to providing safe homes, workplaces and services.

We are looking for an organised and proactive Health and Safety Advisor to join our Health and Safety Compliance team.

This is a key coordination role for someone who enjoys working with people, systems and data and takes pride in keeping information accurate, organised and on track.

The role

You will help keep Stonewater’s Health and Safety programme running effectively by maintaining accurate, up-to-date and report-ready systems, records and documents.

You will coordinate compliance programmes, document reviews, meetings, training and events; monitor actions; produce management information; and provide practical support across Stonewater.

What you will be doing

  • Keeping Health and Safety systems accurate, current and ready for reporting and assurance.
  • Coordinating compliance activity, controlled documents, meetings, training and events.
  • Producing reliable reports and KPIs to support decision-making.
  • Following up actions and supporting audits and continuous improvement.
  • Providing practical support and referring specialist matters appropriately.

About you

You will be methodical, reliable and confident, with the ability to build positive relationships, manage competing priorities and follow actions through to completion.

You will bring:

  • Experience working in social housing.
  • Experience in a health and safety, compliance, governance or coordination role.
  • Working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
  • Experience maintaining systems, controlled documents, records and action trackers.
  • Experience producing compliance reports, KPIs or management information.
  • Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Confidence using Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, Word, Teams and SharePoint.
  • The confidence to follow up actions, challenge constructively and recognise when matters require escalation.

Qualifications

Essential

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent Level 3 health and safety qualification.
  • Evidence of current professional development.

Desirable

  • TechIOSH membership or working towards it.
  • Experience supporting an ISO 45001-aligned management system.
  • Relevant DSE, investigation, document-control or data-analysis training.
  • Working knowledge of Power BI.
