Health And Safety Advisor
Health and Safety Advisor
The Health and Safety Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Bootle. This position involves:
- Monitoring and promoting compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards across operations.
- Conducting regular workplace inspections and identifying potential risks.
- Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures.
- Delivering safety training and awareness programs.
- Supporting accident and incident investigations, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Preparing reports and metrics for management.
- Assisting with audits.
- Collaborating with operational teams to drive continuous improvement in health and safety performance.

Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
- Strong Health & Safety expertise, including knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and best practices.
- Experience in Occupational Health, including risk assessment and promoting safe working practices for all colleagues.
- Skills in Accident Investigation, including incident reporting, analysis, and implementation of preventive measures.
- Capabilities in Safety Training, including designing and delivering training sessions and toolbox talks.
- Environment Health and Safety (EHS) knowledge, including environmental compliance and safe handling of materials.
- A recognized health and safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Solid analytical, reporting, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a similar advisory role within logistics, transport, or industrial environments would be an advantage.
