Health & Safety Advisor
South London / Multi-Site
Up to £50,000 + £5,250 Car Allowance + Bonus + Private Healthcare + Pension
We are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Advisor to join one of London's leading residential developers, supporting the delivery of high-quality residential developments across the South London region.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with an outstanding reputation for delivering complex RC frame residential schemes. Working closely with project teams, you will play a key role in promoting a positive health, safety and environmental culture, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with current legislation and company standards.
The Role
Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, you will work across multiple live construction projects, providing practical health and safety support, coaching site teams and ensuring compliance with company procedures and UK health & safety legislation.
- Build strong relationships with operational teams
- Carry out regular inspections
- Identify opportunities for improvement
- Support the delivery of best practice across all sites

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out regular site inspections and audits across multiple live projects.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and legislation.
- Produce clear, concise inspection reports with photographic evidence and practical recommendations.
- Coach, mentor and support Site Managers and project teams to continually improve health and safety performance.
- Monitor high-risk activities and review Safe Systems of Work.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, providing recommendations to prevent reoccurrence.
- Promote a proactive safety culture across all projects.
- Maintain regular communication with the Health & Safety Manager, escalating significant issues where necessary.
- Ensure projects remain compliant with current UK Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice.

Requirements
- Previous experience as a Health & Safety Advisor within the construction industry.
- Residential construction experience is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and construction best practice.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Able to manage multiple projects and work independently.
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate (essential).
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel across sites throughout the South region.
