Health & Safety Advisor – London, UK
(Hybrid Role)

About the Role
The Health & Safety Advisor will work closely with the Global QHSE Lead and the Manchester-based H&S Advisor to ensure first-class health and safety performance for our client across multiple locations.
You’ll be accountable for the ongoing implementation and maintenance of our client’s health and safety management systems, ensuring full compliance with legal requirements while fostering a positive H&S culture.
- Primary Focus: Day-to-day safety operations in the UK
- Occasional Travel: Client sites in EMEA and support for global locations
- Role Type: Hybrid position
Key Responsibilities
H&S Management & Compliance
- Support the Global QHSE Lead in developing, implementing, and improving the client’s H&S strategy
- Monitor and address H&S queries with technical guidance
- Undertake risk assessments for workplaces and tasks
Training & Engagement
- Coordinate and deliver H&S training programs
- Work with the H&S Team and internal People Team to manage a third-party DSE Workstation training and assessment program
- Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure regulatory compliance
- Manage assessments (including 1:1s) and ergonomic needs
- Key Accountabilities:
- Organise emergency preparedness initiatives (fire drills, first aiders, etc.)

Documentation & Reporting
- Oversee H&S documentation, procedures, and records
- Develop monthly H&S performance reports
- Review third-party audit results and track corrective actions
- Manage the accident reporting database and perform accident investigations
Strategic Support
- Assist the Global QHSE Lead in fulfilling CBRE QHSE responsibilities for the UK & Ireland account team
- Drive alignment of regional strategies with global company policies
Job Requirements
Education
- Formal Health & Safety qualification, such as:
- NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma
- Other qualifications equivalent to IOGH’s Technical or Graduate Membership
Experience
- Strong understanding of H&S legal frameworks (inclusive of completed risk assessments)
- Practical experience in:
- Incident investigation and management
- Training programme development
- 2–3 years in Facilities Management (preferred)
- Experience in financial services or property environments (desirable)
