Part-Time / Fractional Health and Safety Advisor / Manager
Flitetec is looking for a practical and experienced Health and Safety Advisor / Manager to support our aviation component distribution and aircraft interior manufacturing business.
This opportunity could suit either a part-time employee, a self-employed consultant, or a fractional health and safety professional looking to work with a small, quality-led and regulated business.
We are seeking competent support to review and strengthen our current health and safety arrangements, including policies, procedures, risk assessments, risk register, COSHH / chemical safety, REACH-related compliance support, health surveillance advice and general site health and safety management.
The successful person will work closely with our General Manager, Quality Team, Production Manager, HR, Occupational Health provider and shop floor technical leads to ensure our arrangements are compliant, practical, proportionate and suitable for our business.
Flitetec operates in a regulated aviation environment and holds aviation-related accreditations including EASA and CAA approvals, so experience in manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, aviation, distribution or another regulated environment would be particularly valuable.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
