An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join a growing civil engineering team, supporting major infrastructure projects across Scotland. If you're passionate about creating safer workplaces and enjoy working closely with site teams, this could be your next career move.

The Role

You'll be a trusted HSE advisor, working alongside project teams to drive best practice and ensure the highest standards of safety across multiple live projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the delivery of Health, Safety & Environmental management systems.
  • Reviewing RAMS, Construction Phase Plans (CPPs) and Project Management Plans (PMPs).
  • Delivering site inductions, toolbox talks and behavioural safety initiatives.
  • Conducting audits, inspections and compliance monitoring.
  • Investigating incidents, identifying root causes and implementing improvements.
  • Providing practical HSE advice throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and site teams.

About You

You'll bring:

  • Experience within civil engineering or construction.
  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and industry best practice.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with the confidence to influence positive change.
  • Full UK Driving Licence with flexibility to travel across Scotland.
  • Working towards Chartered IOSH is advantageous.
