Health and Safety Compliance Officer
£39,584 per annum Location: Macclesfield – Agile (home-based and office, with office attendance and site visits required weekly) Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week) – Permanent
We’re a housing provider in Macclesfield, managing over 5,000 properties across East Cheshire and surrounding areas. About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health and Safety Compliance Officer to join our Safety and Compliance team.
We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and highly motivated Health & Safety professional to support the delivery and continuous improvement of our corporate and operational Health & Safety programme.
Working closely with the Health & Safety Manager, you will:
- Ensure Health & Safety compliance across the organisation
- Provide practical advice and guidance to managers
- Conduct audits and inspections
- Support contractor assurance activities
- Investigate incidents
- Help drive a positive safety culture

Requirements

You will need:
- Previous experience in a Health & Safety, Compliance, or Coordination role
- A good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and compliance requirements (preferably from property, facilities, construction, or social housing environments)
- Knowledge of:
- Health & Safety controls for contractor oversight
- Safe systems of work, especially regarding asbestos
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
