Health And Safety Consultant
Health & Safety Consultant Location: Birmingham Office / Home / Site - Hybrid Salary: Up to £60,000 + benefits Sector: Construction
An established and growing consultancy is looking to appoint a Health & Safety Consultant to support the delivery of health, safety and compliance services across a diverse portfolio of construction projects across retail, healthcare, commercial and education. The role offers a flexible hybrid working approach, allowing consultants to manage their own diary between site visits, home working and occasional office attendance.
The Role As a Health & Safety Consultant, you will support the delivery of CDM and health & safety services across multiple projects, working closely with clients, contractors and design teams to ensure projects are compliant and operating to high safety standards. Key responsibilities include: Undertaking site inspections and health & safety audits Producing clear reports and practical recommendations Reviewing Construction Phase Plans, RAMS, PCI documentation and H&S Files Reviewing design risk assessments and supporting the principles of prevention Monitoring contractor compliance with CDM 2015 and UK H&S legislation Attending project meetings and providing practical H&S advice Supporting the preparation of H&S documentation and compliance reports Assisting with design risk management across projects Reviewing fire safety documentation and Regulation 38 information Contributing to client H&S policies, procedures and compliance frameworks

About You 4–6 years’ experience in construction health & safety or CDM advisory Experience undertaking site inspections, audits and reporting Strong understanding of CDM 2015 and UK H&S legislation Experience reviewing RAMS, Construction Phase Plans or H&S documentation Comfortable attending meetings with contractors, designers and clients NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate TechIOSH membership (or working towards) CSCS card Full UK driving licence
