Fixed-term Contract (Circa 15 Weeks) – To Start: 20th July Competitive Day Rate
About the Role
TSA Riley’s Health & Safety team are seeking to hire an experienced Health & Safety Consultant to work in a fast-paced logistics environment for a global, blue-chip client.
This is a fixed-term contract for approximately 15 weeks, and the successful candidate will be paid a competitive day rate and be based at one or more of our client’s sites in the Coalville, Leicestershire area. Day to day, you will be based on site for up to 10 hours a day. Some weekend work may be required.
Exact details of the assignment, including hours, days worked, and locations can be discussed further with shortlisted candidates at the interview stage.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety Consultant to join an established and professional team with the primary purpose of supporting and advising the project team. This will require a hands-on approach, excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with all stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities
Typical duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Recording and maintaining accurate daily and weekly metrics.
- Reporting to onsite management teams using corporate reporting systems.
- Supporting stakeholders and the project team with compliance and health & safety (HS) regulations.
- Carrying out regular site walks throughout the day.
- Completing risk assessments with attention to detail.
- Conducting toolbox Talks.
- Attending and chairing various meetings with stakeholders and the wider project team.
- Advising and recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomics.

Experience and Qualifications Required
Essential Qualifications:
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
- CSCS card
Skills & Experience:
- Prior experience of using bespoke health and safety reporting platforms.
- 3+ years CDM Health & Safety experience spent specifically on large-scale commercial construction sites within the UK.
- Prior experience of working on industrial warehouse projects would be advantageous, but is not essential.
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations and the ability to apply knowledge in offering recommendations and advice relating to onsite design challenges.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to review risk assessments in a working environment and advise on reasonably practicable control measures.
- Ability to solve problems and provide sound and strategic recommendations and advice to the clients and other stakeholders.
- The ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams.
- Pro-active approach to risks and challenges, as well as the ability to self-manage time and priorities.
- Knowledge of RAMS.
