Job Description
Clean Food Group seeks an experienced Health and Safety Consultant to oversee their 1M-litre fermentation facility in Liverpool. You will lead process safety, regulatory compliance, and site-wide safety culture as the company scales to commercial production. This is a unique opportunity to shape the safety framework for a world-first sustainable industrial biotechnology site.

What You Will Do
- Develop and manage comprehensive process safety frameworks including COSHH, DSEAR, and COMAH awareness for large-scale fermentation and chemical handling.
- Establish site-wide safety protocols, including permit-to-work systems, machinery safety, and confined space procedures for the 1M-litre Knowsley facility.
- Lead regulatory compliance and build a robust safety culture from the ground up, serving as the primary liaison for HSE inspections and audits.
The ideal candidate
- Proven hands-on health and safety experience within industrial chemical manufacturing or complex process environments at production scale.
- Strong technical knowledge of chemical hazards, safe systems of work (SSOW), and industrial safety regulations such as COSHH and DSEAR.
- Professional certifications including a NEBOSH Diploma and IOSH membership are preferred, alongside the ability to operate at a senior manager or director level.
