Job Introduction

Join us as a Health & Safety Graduate and gain first-hand experience across our operations, engineering, and logistics teams – learning how we produce essential materials for UK infrastructure and how we keep our people safe every day. Through structured rotations, real responsibility, and professional development, you’ll play an active role in supporting our H&S strategy across the Cement & Packed division.

What you’ll be doing...

As a H&S Graduate, you’ll rotate across key business areas, including:

  • Operations (Quarry, Cement Plants, Packed Products)
  • Engineering
  • Logistics

You will gain practical experience by:

  • Supporting the management of our Business H&S Management System to ISO 45001 standards.
  • Helping communicate and roll out H&S initiatives, standards, and procedures.
  • Providing on-site H&S presence across multiple locations.
  • Reviewing incident statistics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Supporting site audits and engaging with contractors and customers.
  • Participating in cross-functional projects that impact real-world infrastructure.
  • Working across multiple sites, with potential for wider opportunities through CRH.
  • Taking part in Tarmac’s Graduate Core Skills Development Programme, building leadership, business understanding, and professional networks.

Essential

  • A degree in any discipline.
  • Willingness to travel and work across the UK & Ireland.
  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Curiosity, drive, and enthusiasm for learning.
  • Passion for construction, manufacturing, or production environments.
