We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our team in the South West covering sites in Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Wales. You will have the opportunity to oversee the safe running of multiple MoD establishments responsible for conducting safety audits, investigating accidents, identifying hazards and driving strong safety culture across our operations. In partnership with the site teams you will be promoting the importance of health and safety and play a crucial role in improving the safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Conducting various Health & Safety audits on MOD sites including offices, compounds, swimming pools and vehicles
- Observe and assess ongoing work practices, identifying hazards and making safety improvement recommendations
- Reporting findings to the Site Manager, Account Manager and H&S Director to ensure that they are escalated and resolved where required
- Investigate workplace accidents and incidents ensuring thorough root cause analysis and making recommendations that can be implemented to reduce the risk for operational teams
- Promote a strong safety culture encouraging proactive safety reporting and engagement across all levels
- Coach and guide staff on Health & Safety best practices to enhance workplace safety awareness
- Develop and manage audit schedules ensuring regular reporting and compliance
- Deputise for the Lead Health & Safety Manager managing audits within MOD sites where required
- Deliver adhoc training including briefings, toolbox talks and inductions
- Carry out D&A testing for your responsible area

What are we looking for?
- Minimum of 5 years in a health and safety role
- NEBOSH qualification
- Tech IOSH or working towards qualification
- Ideally experience within hard FM sector
- Full UK driving licence
