🚨 We're Hiring | Health & Safety Manager 🚨

As Amalga continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead our health and safety function across our portfolio of airport support services.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work closely with operational teams, clients, and airport authorities to ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across live airport environments.

The role will include:

  • Developing and leading Amalga's Health & Safety strategy and culture.
  • Maintaining and continually improving our Health & Safety Management System.
  • Managing and maintaining company accreditations, including ISO standards, SSIP schemes, and client-specific compliance requirements.
  • Carrying out audits, inspections, and compliance reviews across multiple UK airports.
  • Producing, reviewing, and approving RAMS.
  • Ensuring compliance with UK legislation, client requirements, and airport-specific procedures.
  • Managing multiple airport permit-to-work systems and supporting operational planning.
  • Investigating incidents, implementing corrective and preventative actions.
  • Providing practical advice, training, and support to managers, supervisors, and operational teams.

Essential Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Level 6 qualification.
  • CertIOSH (or working towards).
  • Significant Health & Safety management experience.
  • Extensive experience working within live UK airport environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of airport permit-to-work systems.
  • Experience managing H&S accreditations and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 45001, SafeContractor, CHAS, or equivalent).
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
