Exclusive Opportunity: Health & Safety Manager – Growing Transport & Logistics Business

Based in Ballymena, we are actively recruiting a Health & Safety Manager to help establish and grow our safety and ISO systems, ensuring compliance, continuous improvement, and a robust safety culture across all company operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Health & Safety and ISO management systems (including ISO 45001 (OH&S), ISO 9001 (Quality), and ISO 14001 (Environmental) as applicable).
  • Ensure full compliance with UK and Northern Ireland health & safety legislation, as well as transport and operational regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations, implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Design and deliver Health & Safety and ISO training to employees and stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Manage internal and external ISO audits, ensuring all certification requirements are met.
  • Monitor transport safety compliance and report on performance metrics.
  • Advise senior management on regulatory compliance, ISO standards, and best practice to enhance operational excellence.

About You

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within transport, logistics, or a similar sector.
  • A solid understanding and working knowledge of ISO 45001 standards (essential); experience with ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001 is desirable.
  • A NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum qualification requirement).
  • Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and behavioural incident investigations.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A passionate drive to embed a proactive safety culture at all operational levels.
