Our client, a leading law firm, is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their team on a part-time, 12-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover. The successful candidate will ideally be available to start immediately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all health and safety activities across the firm, ensuring full compliance with current legislation and best practice.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the firm's health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Record and investigate incidents and accidents, producing monthly reports and statistics for senior management.
  • Work closely with internal teams to coordinate and manage contractors on site.
  • Review and update risk assessments, carrying out new assessments where required and providing practical advice to minimise risks.
  • Ensure all contractors adhere to the firm's health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct Display Screen Equipment assessments.
  • Maintain and continuously improve fire safety procedures to ensure the wellbeing of all employees and visitors.
  • Coordinate and organise training for first aiders and fire marshals, delivering training sessions where required.
  • Manage the central health and safety inbox, responding to queries and requests across the firm.

  • Previous experience in a Health & Safety Manager or similar role.
  • Strong working knowledge of current UK health and safety legislation.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Confident working independently and building strong relationships across the business.
  • NEBOSH qualification or equivalent is desirable.
  • Available to commence the role at short notice.
