About the Role
As a Regional HSQE Officer, you’ll play a vital part in supporting our branches, engineers, and managers to maintain the highest levels of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental performance. This is a dynamic, varied role that will see you travelling across the region, conducting audits, providing guidance, and helping embed best practice through our teams.

Previous HSQE experience is essential - what matters most is the right attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn.
Key responsibilities
- Provide HSQE guidance to engineers, supervisors, and managers
- Support Supervisors in a programme of Audits they carry out on their teams.
- Produce COSHH assessments, risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
- Review subcontractor RAMS
- Conduct site visits and audits (direct & indirect engineers)
- Support branch managers with HSQE requirements
- Carry out office and warehouse inspections
- Assist in developing toolbox talks and safety alerts
- Ensure adequate first aid and fire safety provision
- Support HSQE admin with timely return of reports and training documents
- Arrange and manage DSE assessments
- Conduct individual risk assessments (medical, pregnancy, PEEPS)
- Attend and contribute to safety meetings
- Log, report, and investigate incidents
- Support internal audits and general record-keeping

What You’ll Bring
Essential:
- Understanding of current H&S legislation (or formal H&S qualification)
- Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication and record-keeping
- Ability to identify issues and advise on compliance
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Knowledge of the fire & security industry
- Familiarity with ISO systems (9001, 14001, 45001)
- Experience using Safety Culture (iAuditor)
- Incident investigation
- Experience in producing RAMS
- NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate or IOSH membership
Working Requirements
- Monday–Friday, 40 hours
- Extensive national travel
- Occasional overnight stays
- Periodic on-call availability for emergency situations
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
