Role: Health and Safety Officer
Location: This role is to cover our South Hospitals. The ideal candidate will live in South Midlands or a surrounding area.
This role will involve working and travelling across multiple sites. There will be the occasional travel to our Bolton Head Office. You must hold a full UK driving licence and own your own vehicle.
Hours: Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week.
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000

Joining us as a Health and Safety Officer you will support our visions and values of safety, integrity, kindness, and transparency are embedded in our day-to-day care to ensure we deliver the best service possible. Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Officer:
- Provide a range of guidance and training to managers and colleagues throughout the business as directed. This will include Risk Assessment, COSHH, Induction, Policy, Processes, and Procedures.
- Support the Health and Safety Manager in promoting and ensuring that a Health and Safety culture is at the forefront of all business needs.
- Work closely with Regional Facilities Managers (RFMs) and Hospital Area Managers (AMs) and other key roles to support in resolving issues and management of H&S risk.
- Monitor the performance data of training requirements and completion rates.
- Support the H&S Manager with the reporting of adverse events, RIDDOR’s, and non-clinical InPhase (Ideagen) incidents.
- Provide expert advice on specific Health and Safety issues to colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
- Monitor incident trends on behalf of the Hospital Directors for clinical sites and the Health and Safety Manager for non-clinical sites, reporting findings on a bi-monthly basis.
- Undertake general admin duties including but not limited to the management of the various H&S related SharePoint sites to ensure the smooth running of the Health and Safety function.
- Champion and represent the H&S Department and H&S Manager, as directed, including attending relevant meetings.
