Job Title: Health and Safety Trainer Location: Hybrid / Cardiff Office, CF15 7QZ Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking a driven and informed Health and Safety professional to expand our team! Whether you currently hold a H&S Advisor/Consultant role or are progressing towards one, we welcome candidates including:

  • Those working towards/holding CMIOSH
  • NEBOSH General Certificate and Diploma holders

Experience in training? No problem! We’ll support your development into a successful H&S Trainer – even with little prior teaching experience.

About The Role

Summary

The Health and Safety Trainer will deliver our Health, Safety and Environmental training programmes (including NEBOSH, IOSH, and IEMA) while assisting with learning design, content development, tutor support, and consultancy projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver accredited training (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH, IEMA), primarily via virtual classroom, with occasional face-to-face sessions at venues/premises.
  • Develop and refine:
    • Lesson notes
    • PowerPoint presentations
    • Lesson plans (aligned with syllabus or client needs)
  • Collaborate with Learning Design & Course Development to share subject-matter expertise.
  • Provide guidance via email, phone, discussion forums, or LinkedIn for learner queries, exams, and assignments.
  • Support learners by:
    • Assessing mock exams
    • Delivering feedback
    • Aiding practical assignments
  • Manage bespoke HS&E training projects tailored for diverse clients.

Key Capabilities

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Associate IOSH as a minimum
  • NEBOSH General Certificate & NEBOSH Diploma
  • Proven Health and Safety professional background, with up-to-date regulatory knowledge
  • Confident communicator excelling in simplifying complex subjects

Desirable Strengths

  • Virtual/in-person accredited training delivery experience (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, IEMA)
  • Prior successes in NEBOSH-specific exams or IEMA accreditation
  • Expertise in developing training materials aligned with syllabi or customised for clients
