Health and Social Care Assessor
Coventry and Surrounding Areas | Hybrid working Full Time & Part Time Available | Permanent £27,000 - £30,000 per year + bonus + expenses
Essential Criteria
Please only apply if you meet all of the following:
- Level 3+ qualification in Health & Social Care
- Minimum 2 years’ recent experience in Adult Health & Social Care (at Senior Carer level or above)
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

The Role
We’re recruiting for a Health and Social Care Assessor to support learners working towards apprenticeship qualifications across workplace settings. This role may also be referred to as:
- Apprenticeship Assessor
- Health and Social Care Tutor
- Skills Coach

Key Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with learners and employers through regular reviews and engagement
- Deliver high-quality teaching, coaching, and assessment sessions aligned to apprenticeship standards
- Conduct workplace observations to assess practical competence
- Review learner work and provide timely, constructive feedback
- Support learners with Functional Skills (Maths & English) where necessary
- Prepare learners for End Point Assessment (EPA)
- Monitor learner progress and ensure qualifications are achieved on time
- Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and a safe learning environment at all times
