Location: Bath and Surrounding Areas Working Model: Hybrid Contract Type: Full Time & Part Time Available Employment Type: Permanent Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 per year + bonus + expenses


Essential Criteria: Please only apply if you meet the following essential requirements:

  • Level 3 or above qualification in Health & Social Care
  • Minimum 2 years’ recent experience in Adult Health & Social Care (Senior Carer level or above)
  • Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel

Ideal candidates will have experience in roles such as:

  • Senior Carer, Care Coordinator
  • Team Leader, Deputy Manager
  • Registered Manager, Care Manager
  • Existing Health & Social Care Assessor

The Role

We are recruiting for a Health and Social Care Assessor to support learners pursuing apprenticeship qualifications within workplace settings.

In this role, you will:

  • Coach and assess learners to ensure they develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviours to succeed.
  • Conduct remote and in-person sessions across Bath and surrounding areas.
  • Manage your own schedule and workload, prioritising learner progress toward key performance targets.
  • Focus solely on delivery, coaching, and assessment—all learners are provided.

This position may also be referred to as Apprenticeship Assessor, Health and Social Care Tutor, or Skills Coach.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with learners and employers through regular reviews
  • Deliver high-quality teaching, coaching, and assessment aligned to apprenticeship standards
  • Conduct workplace observations to assess practical competencies
  • Review learner work and provide timely, constructive feedback
  • Support learners with Functional Skills (Maths & English), if required
  • Prepare learners for End Point Assessment (EPA)
  • Monitor learner progress to ensure timely qualification achievement
  • Promote safeguarding standards, wellbeing, and safe learning environments
