Role Overview
- Position: Full-time, Permanent
- Salary: £33,000 per year + bonus + expenses
Essential Criteria
Please only apply if you meet the following requirements:
- Assessment qualifications: TAQA, CAVA, A1, or D32/33
- Education: Level 5+ qualification in Health & Social Care
- Experience: Minimum 2 years’ recent management experience in Adult Health and Social Care
- Travel: Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
- Role type: Comfortable working independently in a field-based capacity
About the Role
We are recruiting for a qualified Health and Social Care Assessor to support apprenticeship learners across workplace settings. This role focuses on conducting workplace observations and contributing to learner progress, managed by Personal Development Managers leading the wider apprenticeship journey.

- You will work with learners predominantly in Guildford and surrounding areas, controlling travel for efficiency.
- Expect to complete 10 workplace observations per week while planning, reporting, and handling remote administrative tasks.
- This role may alternatively be referred to as an Apprenticeship Assessor, Health & Social Care Tutor, or Skills Coach.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct workplace observations in care settings
- Assess learners against apprenticeship standards
- Provide structured feedback to support learner progression
- Manage a caseload of learners across your assigned region
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted and awarding body requirements
- Support learners through mock assessments and formal reviews
