Location: Manchester and Surrounding Areas | Work Mode: Field-based with travel required Employment Type: Full-time | Contract: Permanent Salary: £33,000 per year + bonus + expenses
Essential Criteria
Please only apply if you meet all of the following:
- Assessor qualification: TAQA, CAVA, A1 or D32/D33
- Level 5+ qualification in Health & Social Care
- Minimum 2 years’ recent management experience in Adult Health and Social Care
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
- Comfortable working independently in a field-based role

We’re recruiting for a qualified Health and Social Care Assessor to support apprenticeship learners across workplace settings.

This role focuses exclusively on conducting workplace observations and contributing to learner progress, working alongside Personal Development Managers who lead the wider apprenticeship journey.
You will:
- Work with learners across Manchester and the surrounding areas, travelling to optimise efficiency.
- Complete approximately 10 observations per week, plus planning, reporting, and remote administrative duties.
This position may also be referred to as Apprenticeship Assessor, Health and Social Care Tutor, or Skills Coach.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct workplace observations in care settings
- Assess learners against apprenticeship standards
- Provide structured feedback and support progression
- Manage a caseload of learners in your assigned region
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted and awarding body requirements
- Support learners through mock assessments and reviews
