Healthcare Support Worker – Health and Justice Setting
Would you like the opportunity to develop your skills in a Health and Justice setting, making a real difference to those in need?
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our multi-disciplinary healthcare team, providing exceptional care in a prison environment. As a Healthcare Support Worker, you’ll contribute to individualised care by supporting patients with services including:
- Substance Misuse support
- Reception screening and agreed care packages
- Physical health observations (e.g., observations, briefings)
- Clinics such as:
- Phlebotomy
- ECG testing
- NHS health checks
- Sexual health interventions
- Health promotion
You will assist under the supervision of a qualified nurse/practitioner, ensuring the highest standards of compassionate care and communication.
We’d love you to join us if you:
✔ Are a caring, compassionate Healthcare Support Worker ✔ Have strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team ✔ Prefer a supportive work environment with qualified mentorship ✔ Would benefit from developing your experience in a Health and Justice Setting ✔ Hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health or Social Care (or equivalent experience)
