Job Title: Health Care Assistant Levels 2 and 3

Department: Specialist Nursing Home

Salary range: £28,939 - £30,688 per annum (dependant on NVQ Qualification and experience)

Hours of work: 150 hours over a 4 week period (approximately 37.5 hours per week).

Contract Type: Full time or part time, rotating day and night shifts

Location: Putney, Southwest London

Role Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our brain injury service at RHN as a Health Care Assistant. We provide high-quality, person-centred support tailored to each individual’s needs, including complex clinical care, alongside assistance with communication, behavioural support, and daily living. Our focus is on promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life within a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment. We also work closely with residents’ families, offering ongoing support, guidance, and reassurance.

You will be a key member of a multidisciplinary team, working closely with our residents to support all aspects of daily living, including personal care, while promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing. This role requires a strong understanding of person-centred care, the ability to respond to complex health needs, and a compassionate and patient approach. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.

Essential:

  • Minimum 6 months experience of working in a health or social care support role.
  • Qualification to GCSE or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A good command of both written and spoken English.
  • An ability to carry out manual handling tasks.
  • Able to work flexible shift pattern including weekends and nights.

Desirable experience which will enhance your application:

  • A health or social care related degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience of working within a multidisciplinary team within health or social care.

Compensation Range

£28,939.00 - £30,688.00
