Position: Health Care Assistant
Care Home: Edgewater
Location: Wallasey, CH44 7HY
Contract Type: Full time and part time (days, evenings, nights—weekends included)
Rate: £12.81 per hour (upon completion of Exemplar Care Certificate)
About the Role
Are you a caring, compassionate, and cheerful individual with plenty to offer? Join Edgewater care home in Wallasey as our new Health Care Assistant.
Edgewater is part of Exemplar Health Care, a leading provider of nursing care for adults living with complex and high acuity needs, including mental health conditions and neuro-disabilities such as Huntington’s and Parkinson’s disease.
As a Health Care Assistant, you’ll support adults to live their best lives, delivering interventions to improve their quality of daily living. This role offers tremendous satisfaction and the ability to make a real difference every day.
No two days are ever the same! Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Supporting individuals with personal care (e.g., bathing, dressing, hygiene)
- Assisting with meal times and nutritional support
- Addressing individual health and wellbeing needs with professionalism
- Encouraging and supporting involvement in social activities (both in-home and community-based)
- Promoting choice, dignity, independence, and respect
- Recording and maintaining accurate care plans and documentation
