Tunbridge Wells Kidney Treatment Centre (TWKTC) is looking for an experienced Band 3 Health Care Assistant in a busy nurse led dialysis unit and outpatient renal clinics.
About the Role
The role is to deliver safe, effective, compassionate care in a friendly, person-centred environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Involved in direct patient care, health promotion and patient education programmes
- Assist under supervision in the delivery of fundamental nursing care and a range of clinical duties in liaison with the multidisciplinary team, to ensure the effective and efficient running of the ward/service
- Contribute to the implementation and progression of a range of patient treatment and care packages as delegated by a registered healthcare professional; reporting back on progress

About the Unit
TWKTC has both dialysis and renal outpatient clinics.
- Nurse Led Dialysis has 84 patients
- The Renal Outpatient clinics attends to patients with different ranges of chronic kidney disease and transplant plus phlebotomy only clinic
- In a busy clinic, a staff can attend to up to 30 patients/day

Skills Required
- Working collaboratively with different clinicians and nurses on a day to day basis hence good organisation skills, flexibility and communication skills are essential
