NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the United Kingdom, employing approximately 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million people, and to a wider population of 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 Band 3 Healthcare Support Workers to join the busy and friendly Radiology team within the Clyde Sector. The successful candidates will support the delivery of a high-quality imaging service, working alongside radiographers and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient care and a positive patient experience.

All roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern

  • The posts will be based at Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley, with rotation to other Clyde hospital sites as required to support service delivery.
  • This is a permanent 36-hour posts, working a combination of 12-hour day and night shifts, 7.5-hour shifts (9:00am-5:00pm), and include weekend and public holiday working.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will support the delivery of a high-quality imaging service by providing patient care, assisting with imaging procedures, and supporting patient flow throughout the Radiology Department while maintaining a safe, clean, and organised environment.
  • Working collaboratively with radiographers and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Ensure patients receive a positive experience throughout their visit while contributing to the efficient delivery of the service.

Knowledge, Training, Qualifications, and/or Experience Required

  • Previous NHS experience.
  • Caring and compassionate approach to patient care.
