About Us
We’re Blind Veterans UK, a charity dedicated to helping vision-impaired ex-service people of all generations rebuild their lives, regardless of when or how they lost their sight. We’re seeking two Health Care Support staff to join our Health & Wellbeing team on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week).

- Generous annual leave, with an option to purchase additional days
- Exceptional pension scheme with matched employer contributions
- Access to legal support and mental health assistance
- Employee assistance programme
- Coverage for professional membership subscriptions and staff discounts

This is an exceptional opportunity for caring individuals with an NVQ in Health and Social Care Level 2 (or commitment to achieve this) to contribute to a life-changing organisation that upholds dignity, compassion, and independence.
By joining Blind Veterans UK, you’ll become part of a close-knit, purpose-driven team that prioritises people over all else. Your empathy and dedication will directly empower our members to regain confidence, rebuild their lives, and rediscover possibilities after sight loss. In return, you’ll gain profound personal and professional fulfilment as you develop your skills, forge meaningful connections, and create lasting impacts on those who’ve served our country with bravery.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
