Health Club Receptionist – Soho House
About the Role
The Terms & Conditions role of Soho House Health Club Receptionist acts as the first point of contact for members and guests, ensuring a warm, professional, and efficient welcome. Your key responsibilities will include managing check-ins, bookings, and inquiries while delivering exceptional service to support the smooth daily operations of the health club.
This position requires excellent communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced wellness and fitness environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greater and welcome members and guests, ensuring a friendly and professional experience.
- Manage check-in and check-out processes for members and day visitors.
- Handle phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries about health club services, classes, and facilities.
- Manage bookings for spa treatments, personal training sessions, and group classes.
- Process payments for services, memberships, and retail products with accuracy.
- Maintain a tidy and welcoming reception and lobby area.
- Collaborate with fitness, spa, and housekeeping teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Support membership sales by providing tours and information to prospective members.
- Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and data privacy at all times.

What We Are Looking For
An ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Up to 2 years’ experience in a busy, high-profile venue, preferably in receptionist, front-of-house, or customer service roles, particularly in health clubs, spas, or hospitality environments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in booking and point-of-sale systems, along with basic computer competence.
- A professional, approachable, and well-presented attitude.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and maintain excellent service.
- Fluency in English.
- Organised, reliable, and adaptable to handle feedback to ensure member satisfaction.
- Ability to multitask and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Comprehension of and compliance with written and verbal instructions.
Physical Requirements
- Must be over the age of 18.
- Able to seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects by hand.
- Must be capable of working on your feet for at least 8 hours.
- Occasionally required to kneel, bend, or crouch as necessary.
