This is a fully remote role, however will require travel to branches in the south and our Central Support office based in Hull.
Main Purpose
To support existing sites in implementing the company wide H&S strategy, ensuring suitable safety standards and legal compliance is maintained. To coach and mentor staff and act as a focal point of expertise. To support the onboarding of new sites and contribute to the national strategy whilst effectively implementing it at site level.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Support branches with H&S compliance
- Promoting a proactive safety culture
- Ensuring health and safety standards are met on-site
- Investigating accidents and writing reports
- Identifying potential hazards
- Advising branches on statutory requirements
- Completing risk assessments and site inspections
- Suggesting improvements to working processes
- Preparing safe operating procedures
- Ensuring staff understand safety procedures
- Checking equipment is safe
- Compiling statistics for reports and presentations
- Developing and reviewing HSE policies and procedures
- Advising and training staff on best working practices
- Liaising with enforcing authorities
- Monitoring environmental impacts and compliance with legislation
KPI’s
- Accident statistics
- Branch audit scores
- Completion of specific tasks / projects
- Branch Director feedback
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum NEBOSH Certificate, preferably NEBOSH Diploma
- IOSH membership
- Minimum 3 years health and safety experience is essential
- Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) legislation
- Environmental qualification is desirable
- Computer skills (MS Office)
- Ability to build strong working relationships
- Good attention to detail
- Able to use own initiative
- Effective organisational skills
- Persistence and determination
