Health & Safety Advisor (Training on Quality)

Position Details

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + Bonus + 33 Days Holiday + Life Assurance + Sick Pay Location: Andover, Hampshire


One of the UK's leading Health & Safety Advisor/Officer roles spanning HSEQ and Quality at a fast-paced Engineering manufacturer. Gain certified training to develop into an HSEQ Engineer, solving real-world challenges across aerospace, automotive, and medical sectors.

This is a rare opportunity for hand-on H&S expertise with direct progress into quality assurance—perfect for professionals keen to drive strategic compliance improvements at multiple production sites.

About the Role

An exciting, engineering-centric H&S Advisor/Officer position within a rapidly scaling SME, spanning two local manufacturing plants. This varied role blends shop-floor engagement with office-based quality training, with a focus on achieving ISO 45001 health & safety compliance while developing expertise across ISO 14001 environmental and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing health & safety issues, accidents, and near-misses in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Conducting internal & external H&S audits, tracking compliance and making process improvements
  • Supporting the achievement of ISO 45001 accreditation
  • Assisting in gaining ISO 14001 certification through environmental assessments and process control
  • Direct training and mentorship in quality systems, processes, and best practices
  • Split workload between office (8:30am–5:00pm) and shop-floor operations, with a 3.5-hour Friday finish

Requirements

  • Experience as a Health & Safety Advisor/Officer (or equivalent)
