We are looking for a result-driven colleague who, in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, will help ensure that we maintain the highest HSE standards.

Your Role

You will enjoy being part of an experienced team based in London and working with the teams in Copenhagen and Mumbai. Together you will be responsible for monitoring and facilitating marine operations of designated vessels, and provide the required nautical, safety and environmental support, so that the desired levels of safe performance are met. This position will be reporting to the HSE Team Leader, who is based in Mumbai.

Key responsibilities

  • To be an ambassador for the TORM Safety Culture and provide support & guidance to our colleagues on board our vessels
  • To ensure onboard implementation of the Company’s Safety Management System and thereby ensure overall safety, environmental and quality assurance of your allocated vessels
  • To liaise with external parties e.g. Classification Societies and Flag States as and when required
  • Handling incident investigation and report submission
  • Support the implementation of the performance leadership program on assigned vessels
  • Deliver in-house HSE training to colleagues as required
  • Travel to vessels for on-board visits as required
  • To run ad-hoc HSE projects in collaboration with the HSE team

Your Profile

We are looking for an HSE Manager who thrives in a global, collaborative environment and can bring strong expertise to the team. You should be committed to doing a great job and always act with your stakeholder’s needs in mind.

To succeed in this role, you bring

  • A minimum of five years of sailing experience as marine officer which includes two years as a senior officer (captain or chief officer) on board a tanker vessel
  • Shore-based experience as Marine, Vetting or HSE Superintendent will be preferable
  • Familiar with all relevant ISM, ISO standards and OCIMF requirements
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English
  • Detail-oriented, analytical and confident with the ability to work in a team as well as independently
