Health, Safety & Fire Advisor

Location: Home-based with travel to client sites as required (mostly London and surrounds).

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.

Contract: Full-time (flexible working arrangements available).

Join a consultancy where relationships matter and are valued.

Ahead Start Consulting has been helping organisations navigate health & safety, fire safety, and building safety challenges since 2003. We work with clients across a wide range of sectors, providing straightforward advice, practical solutions, and ongoing support that genuinely adds value.

We're looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Fire Advisor to join our growing team. This role would suit someone who enjoys working directly with clients, values professional autonomy, and takes pride in delivering sensible, proportionate advice rather than simply ticking compliance boxes – think more out of the box than ticking boxes!

About Us

One of the things we're most proud of is the quality of our client relationships. Many of our clients have been with us for years. In fact, several have taken us with them when they've moved organisations because they trust our approach and value the support we provide. We work with genuinely lovely people and organisations that see us as part of their team rather than an external supplier.

We also believe that great work doesn't require sitting in an office five days a week. Our team works flexibly from home, coming together when needed and spending time where it matters most — supporting clients.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
