Are you an experienced Health, Safety and Fire professional looking for a varied and rewarding role where your expertise has a real impact?

We're looking for a Health, Safety & Fire Risk Advisor to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to combine site-based consultancy with office-based quality assurance, technical support, and project work. No two days are the same, and you'll play a key role in helping our clients create safer, more compliant environments.

What you'll be doing

  • Working within your level of competence and supported by an experienced and knowledgeable team, you will:
    • Visit client sites to carry out Health & Safety Risk Assessments, Fire Risk Assessments, Safe4Site Compliance Audits, and deliver tailored training.
    • Provide practical, professional advice and guidance to help clients meet their legal duties and industry best practice.
    • Produce clear, comprehensive reports with practical recommendations to support ongoing compliance.
    • Develop, review, and update health, safety, and fire policies, procedures, and management systems.
    • Carry out quality assurance checks on reports, ensuring they meet our high standards of accuracy, consistency, and professionalism.
    • Support office-based operations, contribute to business improvement projects, and assist with the continual development of our services.
    • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
    • Keep up to date with changes in Health & Safety and Fire Safety legislation, guidance, and industry best practice to ensure advice remains accurate, relevant, and compliant.
    • Demonstrate a willingness to support and enhance team competency by contributing to CPD documentation and sharing knowledge with the wider Operations team.

This role offers a balance of independent working, client interaction, and collaborative team support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and is passionate about delivering high-quality health, safety, and fire consultancy.

Qualifications Required:

Essential:

  • Level 4 or above qualification in Fire Risk Management

Preferred:

  • Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH General or equivalent)

About you:

  • A minimum of four years' experience carrying out fire risk assessments, with health and safety experience within private residential properties.
  • Extensive experience assessing high-rise residential buildings.
  • A thorough understanding of current UK fire safety legislation, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Fire Safety Act 2021, Building Safety Act 2022, and Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022.
  • Sound knowledge of PAS 79 methodology, Approved Document B, BS 9999, and relevant British Standards.
  • Previous experience working alongside Fire and Rescue Services and other key stakeholders.
  • Relevant professional qualifications and/or memberships (e.g., IFE, IFSM, or equivalent).
  • Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays, as required.
  • Highly organized, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce clear, accurate, and practical fire risk assessment reports.
  • An effective communicator who can build strong client relationships and confidently deliver fire safety advice and training.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Committed to maintaining the highest standards of compliance, professionalism, and customer service.
  • Dedicated to continuous professional development, keeping up to date with changes in legislation, guidance, and industry best practice.
