We’re currently recruiting for a Health Safety and Wellbeing Senior Specialist to join our team based in the Midlands to support National Wide operations.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
As a Health Safety and Wellbeing Senior Advisor, your role will support our vision that nobody gets hurt or made unwell by what we do. You’ll be advising a portfolio of small businesses on all aspects of Health Safety and Wellbeing.
You’ll also support the business unit’s investigation of incidents, accidents and near misses and collate the corrective actions. In addition, you’ll proactively address all HS&W needs by identifying trends and industry best practice. You will then be expected to share your insight and learnings across the business units, highlighting any areas of potential improvement and ultimately delivering continuous HS&W performance.
You will be the contact point between the Severn Trent Group and Severn Trent Services on all matters related to Health Safety and Wellbeing.

Other Key Duties Of The Role
- Proactively promote Severn Trent Services Health and Safety culture.
- Maintenance and delivery of Health and Safety Management System
- Provision of second line assurance to business units
- Management and Delivery of HS&W Standards
- Management of interaction with External Agencies
- Supervision of successful renewal of external accreditations, specifically ISO45001
- Provision of Technical Support to the Business on matters HS&W
- Analysis and monitoring of HS&W data in order to design improvement plans for the business to adopt in HSW.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
The successful candidate will have NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, experience of development, implementation and maintenance of the Safety Management Systems, including internal auditing and an ability to interpret and implement Health and Safety legislation, guidance and best practice.
It would be desirable if you are a Professional Membership of IOSH or have recorded evidence of other technical training (i.e. Incident investigation; auditing; Construction, Environmental protection)
A full UK driving license is required for this position.

- Salary £44,525.51 - £49,000 depending on experience + £520 per month car allowance
