Health & Safety Business Partner

Join us as a Health & Safety Business Partner in this excellent opportunity to deliver a relationship-managed service portfolio for valued clients within our Business Banking segment in Health & Safety.

You’ll build lasting relationships to grow the volume and value of your portfolio by consistently delivering high-quality customer interactions and experiences. As a key team member, you’ll be recognised for building trust and long-term sustainable value for both our customers and colleagues.

What you’ll do

We rely on your service excellence in engaging with clients via:

  • Face-to-face meetings
  • Virtual sessions (video)
  • Telephone and email channels

Your mission is to truly understand customer needs while providing commercial and profitable advice. You’ll encourage clients to adopt and effectively utilise Mentor’s digital and self-service channels.

Key deliverables include:

  • Driving new business growth through:
    • Networking and referrals
    • Business development initiatives
  • Leading prospect meetings, networking, and relationship-building within your internal and external network
  • Taking referrals from new customer leads
  • Collaborating with the Consultancy Delivery team to ensure customers receive services that meet expectations and deadlines
  • Proactively managing client retention, renewal pricing negotiations for your portfolio and supporting others as needed
  • Maintaining an up-to-date contact strategy plan focused on:
    • Developing new business opportunities
    • Achieving agreed income goals
  • Supporting colleagues and clients with complex technical Health & Safety issues

We’re looking for a customer-focused professional with:

  • Professional qualifications in Health & Safety, including membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH, Chartered Member status CMIOSH)
  • Extensive experience in roles directly relating to health and safety
  • Background in complex advisory services, particularly for Risk Management

Additional essential strengths:

  • Exceptional ability to analyze customer needs, identify risks, and prioritise recommendations
  • Proven capacity to work through business solutions, develop bespoke service offerings, and deliver commercial price quotations
  • Strong time management skills with a flexible approach tailored to meet client demands
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to foster trust and rapport across all touchpoints.
