Health and Safety Business Partner – Mobile Roles: Hemel Hempstead (HP3) & Caterham (CR3)

About the Role
Join the Churchill Group as a Health and Safety Business Partner, supporting the Vantage and JV Price divisions in the mobile, high-paced environment of industrial and window cleaning contracts.
As a visible leader, you’ll:
- Collaborate with operations teams and senior leadership to mitigate risks and comply with safety standards
- Be the primary QHSE Business Partner for MDs and leadership, delivering proactive risk management across multi-site environments (including high-risk areas such as electrical install sites)
The role balances office and on-site presence, ensuring practical support while leveraging your expertise to drive culture shifts towards zero harm and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Compliance:
- Lead ongoing management of ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety), ISO 9001 (Quality), and ISO 14001 (Environmental)
- Align QHSE policies with operational needs, fostering a compliance-first culture

Incident Management:
- Record, investigate, and report incidents, accidents, and near-misses with trend analysis for senior leadership
- Develop proactively corrective actions to prevent recurrence

Training & Advocacy:
- Deliver engaging workplace training on health, safety, and environmental responsibility (for managers and employees)
- Foster a proactive, frontline-safe mindset

Operational Excellence:
- Collaborate with under management teams and stakeholders to implement safety best practices
- Data-driven reporting: develop KPI measures and audits to inform decision-making
Key Requirements
Essential Requirements

Proven experience in a QHSE (Quality, Health & Safety, Environment) Business Partner role, ideally in facilities management, engineering, infrastructure, or transport

Experience mitigating risks in high-risk coordination roles (e.g., electrical installations)

Strong understanding of health and safety legislation (UK or European)

Demand expertise in helping fast-paced, multi-site organisations balance growth with compliance

Strong communication and influencing skills to counsel leadership and frontline teams

Proactive, trustworthy, problem-solving mentality

Qualifications:
- NEBOSH Diploma (or commitment to achieving this)
- Must meet basic DBS (disclosure) requirements
