A dedicated project-based health and safety team supports major construction activities, including cross country pipeline projects, offering practical, on-site expertise.
Role Description
The Health Safety Environment Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Redcar. The Advisor will provide practical HSE support to projects and operations, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, company procedures, and industry standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Carrying out site inspections and audits
- Preparing risk assessments and method statements
- Supporting the development and implementation of safety and environmental management systems
- Delivering toolbox talks and safety briefings
- Advising managers and site teams on best practice
- Promoting a strong safety culture across all activities
- Supporting incident investigation, reporting, and follow-up actions
- Contributing to continual improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance

Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Health & Safety and Occupational Health, with a strong understanding of legislation and industry standards.
- Knowledge of Environment Health and Safety (EHS) principles and practical experience applying environmental controls on site.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as NEBOSH (e.g., General or Construction Certificate) or equivalent.
- Experience in Auditing, including conducting HSE inspections, audits, and producing clear reports and action plans.
- Experience within construction, utilities, or cross country pipeline projects is highly beneficial.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and coach teams at all levels.
- Proficient in using standard IT tools for reporting, documentation, and training materials.
- Full, clean driving license and willingness to work on site across varying conditions.
